Weeks 1-4: adjustment
Appetite drops before the scale does. Mild nausea, fatigue, and constipation are the common early complaints, and nearly all of them respond to hydration, fiber, and pacing the dose increase.
Weeks 5-8: momentum
This is where most of the visible change happens. It is also where patients start skipping protein and strength work — the two things that determine whether the results hold.
Weeks 9-12: the first plateau
A stall at week ten is normal, not failure. It is a signal to re-check body composition, protein intake, sleep, and dose.
